Active and Passive Voice (Part-1)

Passive Voice केवल उन्हीं वाक्यों के बन सकते है जिनमें मुख्य क्रिया Transitive Verb (सकर्मक) हो| जैसे-
1.They laugh.
2. He sleeps.
इन वाक्यों की क्रियाएं Intransitive Verbs हैं अतः इन वाक्यों को हम Passive Voice में नहीं बदल सकते|
In English, Transitive Verbs can have two voices-
1. Active Voice
2. Passive Voice
1.Active Voice- When the grammatical subject of the verb is also the doer of the action, the verb is said to be in active voice.
2.Passive Voice- When the grammatical subject of the verb is not the doer of the action and is in fact the receiver of that action.
such as-
My mother is reading a book.(Active)
A book is being read by my mother. (Passive)
Rules for changing Active Voice into Passive Voice (Active से Passive Voice में बदलने के नियम)
Rule 1. The passive voice is formed only of transitive verbs. Intransitive verbs have no passive voice, because they have no objects with them.
Rule 2. When a sentence is changed from the Active Voice into the Passive Voice
the Object becomes the subject in the Passive voice and the Subject in the Active Voice becomes the Object in the Passive Voice.
Rule 3.Passive Voice (कर्मवाच्य) के कर्म के पहले by का प्रयोग होता है| परन्तु यदि हमें कर्ता की पहचान या पता न हो या कर्ता इतना स्पष्ट हो कि बताने की आवश्यकता न हो या जब active voice का कर्ता महत्वपूर्ण न हो तो by के बाद कर्म का प्रयोग नहीं करते| जैसे-
People speak English all over the world. (Active)
English is spoken all over the world. (Passive)
Rule 4. Passive Voice में  Subject और Object के  पारस्परिक स्थान बदलते समय उनके साथ जुड़े हुए articles, adjectives तथा adjective phrases को उनसे अलग नहीं करते| जैसे-
Active- All the children heard an interesting story.
Passive- An interesting story was heard by all the children.
Rule 5. Active Voice में Object के स्थान पर आए हुए Pronouns को जब Subject के स्थान पर प्रयोग करते हैं तो उनका रूप निम्न प्रकार बदल जाता है-
Me के स्थान पर I
Us के स्थान पर We
Him के स्थान पर He
Her के स्थान पर She
Them के स्थान पर They
Note- You और It में कोई परिवर्तन नहीं होता है|
Rule 6. Active Voice में Subject के स्थान पर आये Pronouns को जब Passive Voice में Object के स्थान पर प्रयोग करते हैं और उससे पहले by लगाते हैं, तो उसमें निम्न तरीके से  परिवर्तन करते हैं-
I के स्थान पर by me
We के स्थान पर by us
He के स्थान पर by him
She के स्थान पर by her
They के स्थान पर by them
You तथा It में केवल by लगा देते हैं इनमें और कोई परिवर्तन नहीं होता है|
Verb में परिवर्तन के नियम -
1. मुख्य verb को हमेशा Past Participle (Third Form) में प्रयोग किया जाता है|
2. इन Verbs  का प्रयोग करने से पहले  Verb 'to be' (is,are, am, was, were, be, been, being) का प्रयोग Subject के Number तथा Verb के Tense के अनुसार करते हैं|
1. Present Simple- is, am, are
2. Past Simple - was, were
3. Future Simple- be
4. All Continuous- being
5. All Perfect Tenses - been

अंग्रेजी व्यंजनों के उच्चारण

अंग्रेजी भाषा में 21 व्यंजन हैं- B  C D F G H J K L M N P Q R S T V W X Y   Z ब  स ड फ ग ह ज क ल म न प क र स ट व व क्स य ज़ सामान्यतः इन वर्णों का उच्चारण वैसा ही होता है जैसा कि इनके नीचे दिए गए हिन्दी वर्णों का होता है| लेकिन जब हम किसी अंग्रेज को बात करते हुए सुनते हैं या फिर किसी टीवी चैनल पर कोई समाचार सुनते हैं तब हमें लगता है कि जो हम बोलते है वे  उससे अलग उच्चारण कर रहे हैं| अक्षरों का क्रम बदल जाने से उच्चारण में भेद  हिन्दी में जैसा बोला जाता है वैसा ही लिखा जाता है लेकिन अंग्रेजी में इससे विपरीत स्थिति है 'C' का उच्चारण - C के दो उच्चारण हैं-स और क  1. Degrees of Adjectives

Study the following sentences- 1. Meena is a clever girl. 2. Pinky is cleverer than Meena. 3. Shreya is the cleverest of the three. We see in the above sentences that Adjectives change in forms (clever, cleverer, cleverest) to show comparison. They are called the three Degrees of Comparison . Adjectives की तीन Degree होती हैं- 1.Positive Degree 2. Comparative Degree 3. Superlative Degree Positive Degree में किसी noun की विशेषता बताई जाती हयाई, उस विशेषता की Degree नहीं होती| जैसे- Vishal is a brave boy. Comparative Degree   में उस विशेषता की दूसरी degree बताई जाती है, और इसमें किन्हीं भी दो वस्तुओं के उसी गुण का तुलनात्मक भाव निहित रहता है| जैसे- Vishal is braver than Rohit.
