Present Continuous Tense or Present Progressive Tense

  इस Tense में वर्तमान काल में कार्य का जारी रहना प्रकट होता है|
पहचान - ऐसे वाक्यों के अंत में  रहा है, रही है, रहे हैं, रहा हूँ शब्द आते हैं| इसके अतिरिक्त (The adverbs, now, at this moment, at present, still, are often used in this Tense.)
Verb Form- 1. Auxiliary verb- is, am, are
                    2. Main verb- ing form (present participle)
Uses- इस Tense का प्रयोग ऐसे कार्य के लिए किया जाता है जो बोलने के समय चल रहा है|
        - इसका प्रयोग ऐसे कार्य के लिए भी होता है जो रुक-रुक कर चलता है और यह जरूरी नहीं है कि वह  कार्य बोलने के समय चल रहा हो|
- निकट भविष्य में होने वाले पहले से तय कार्यों के लिए गति बताने वाली क्रियाओं के साथ इस काल का प्रयोग किया जाता है|
Verbs not used in the Progressive Tenses-
 There are some verbs which can not be used with the progressive tenses at all, because the motion of 'something in progress' can not be applied to them. These verbs are of three kinds:-
(A) Verbs of Perceiving:- feel, hear, see, smell, taste. (इन्द्रिय बोध की क्रियाएं Continuous Tenses में प्रयोग नहीं होती|)
1. I hear a song. (correct)
   I am hearing a song. (incorrect)
2. I see a picture. (correct)
    I am seeing a picture. (incorrect)
Note- Hear के साथ ing का प्रयोग सुनने के भाव में नहीं होता अपितु सुनवाई के लिए होता है| जैसे-
The judge is hearing the case.
(B) Verbs Referring to a State of Mind or Feeling:- believe, desire, dislike, doubt, forget, hate, hope, imagine, know, like, love, mean, prefer, remember, suppose, understand, want, wish, etc.
(मानसिक स्थिति या भावना को व्यक्त करने वाली क्रियाओं का continuous tense में नहीं होता )
1. I hate you. (correct)
    I am hating you. (incorrect)
2. I love you. (correct)
    I am loving you. (incorrect)
3.  She believes in God. (correct)
     She is believing in God. (incorrect)
4. I remember you now. (correct)
    I am remembering you now. (incorrect)
(C) Verbs Referring to a Relationship or A State of Being:- be, belong to, concern, consist of, contain, cost, depend on, deserve, fit, have, matter, owe, own, possess, remain, require, resemble, etc.
(सम्बन्ध और अस्तित्व बोध की क्रियाएं continuous tense में नहीं होती|)
1. This novel belongs to me.
2. Ramesh has a good wife.
3. Shagun resembles her mother.
1.Affirmative Sentences (साधारण वाक्य)- 
Helping Verb- is, am, are
Main Verb- I form + ing form
I-am
He, She, It, Name- is
You, We, They- are
Pattern- Subject + H.V. (is, am, are) + ing form + Object +.......
1. मैं अपनी किताब पढ़ रही हूँ|
I am reading my book.
2. तुम जा रहे हो|
You are going.
3. विद्यार्थी हँस रहे हैं|
 The students are laughing.
4.वह क्रिकेट खेल रहा है|
He is playing cricket.
2. Negative Sentences- (नकारात्मक वाक्य)-
नकारात्मक वाक्य बनाने के लिए  is, am, are के बाद not लगाते हैं|
Pattern- Subject + Helping Verb (is, are, am) + not + ing form + Object + .........
1. मैं नहीं खेल रहा हूँ|
   I am not playing.
2. तुम नहीं जा रहे हो|
 You are not going.
3. वह स्कूल नहीं जा रहा है|
He is not going to school
4. वे बगीचे में नहीं खेल रहे हैं|
They are not playing in the garden.
3. Interrogative Sentences-(प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य)-
ये दो प्रकार से शुरू होते हैं-
1. H. V. से शुरू होने वाले -जिनमें प्रश्नवाचक शब्द वाक्य के शुरू में हो|
2. Wh Word से शुरू होने वाले - जिनमें प्रश्नवाचक शब्द वाक्य के बीच में हों|
1. Structure- H. V.(is,am, are) + Subject + ing form + Object ....?
Examples-
1. क्या मैं जा रहा हूँ?
Am I going?
2. क्या मैं खेल रहा हूँ?
Am I playing?
3. क्या मैं अपनी किताब पढ़ रही हूँ?
Am I reading my book?
4. क्या राधा गाना गा रही है?
Is Sita singing a song?
Wh वाले वाक्य 
1. तुम क्यों रो रहे हो?
Why are you weeping?
2. यह लड़का क्यों सो रहा है?
Why is this boy sleeping?
3. मैं क्या खेल रहा हूँ?
What am I playing?
4. Interrogative Negative-(प्रश्नवाचक नकारात्मक)
इन वाक्यों में Main Verb से पहले not लगाते हैं|
Pattern-
H.V. + Subject + not + ing form + Object +.....?
Wh Word + H.V. + Subject + not + ing form + Object + ...?
1. क्या वह स्कूल नहीं जा रहा है?
Is he not going to school?
2. तुम क्यों नहीं पढ़ रहे हो?
Why are you not reading?

अंग्रेजी व्यंजनों के उच्चारण

अंग्रेजी भाषा में 21 व्यंजन हैं- B  C D F G H J K L M N P Q R S T V W X Y   Z ब  स ड फ ग ह ज क ल म न प क र स ट व व क्स य ज़ सामान्यतः इन वर्णों का उच्चारण वैसा ही होता है जैसा कि इनके नीचे दिए गए हिन्दी वर्णों का होता है| लेकिन जब हम किसी अंग्रेज को बात करते हुए सुनते हैं या फिर किसी टीवी चैनल पर कोई समाचार सुनते हैं तब हमें लगता है कि जो हम बोलते है वे  उससे अलग उच्चारण कर रहे हैं| अक्षरों का क्रम बदल जाने से उच्चारण में भेद  हिन्दी में जैसा बोला जाता है वैसा ही लिखा जाता है लेकिन अंग्रेजी में इससे विपरीत स्थिति है 'C' का उच्चारण - C के दो उच्चारण हैं-स और क  1. C  के बाद E,I,Y आये तो C  का उच्चारण 'स' होगा| जैसे- Receive,Cinema, Icy, Force, Certificate, Niece, Cyclone... 2.C के बाद A, O, U, K, T आदि कोई वर्ण हो तो प्रायः C का उच्चारण 'क' होता है| जैसे-  Cot, Cat, Cap, Cow, Cattle, Cruel, Custom, Candidate......... 3. कभी-कभी C के बाद IA या EA हों तो 'श' की ध्वनि देते हैं| जैसे  Social, Ocean... Degrees of Adjectives

Study the following sentences- 1. Meena is a clever girl. 2. Pinky is cleverer than Meena. 3. Shreya is the cleverest of the three. We see in the above sentences that Adjectives change in forms (clever, cleverer, cleverest) to show comparison. They are called the three Degrees of Comparison . Adjectives की तीन Degree होती हैं- 1.Positive Degree 2. Comparative Degree 3. Superlative Degree Positive Degree में किसी noun की विशेषता बताई जाती हयाई, उस विशेषता की Degree नहीं होती| जैसे- Vishal is a brave boy. Comparative Degree   में उस विशेषता की दूसरी degree बताई जाती है, और इसमें किन्हीं भी दो वस्तुओं के उसी गुण का तुलनात्मक भाव निहित रहता है| जैसे- Vishal is braver than Rohit.
