Degrees of Adjectives

Study the following sentences- 1. Meena is a clever girl. 2. Pinky is cleverer than Meena. 3. Shreya is the cleverest of the three. We see in the above sentences that Adjectives change in forms (clever, cleverer, cleverest) to show comparison. They are called the three Degrees of Comparison . Adjectives की तीन Degree होती हैं- 1.Positive Degree 2. Comparative Degree 3. Superlative Degree Positive Degree में किसी noun की विशेषता बताई जाती हयाई, उस विशेषता की Degree नहीं होती| जैसे- Vishal is a brave boy. Comparative Degree   में उस विशेषता की दूसरी degree बताई जाती है, और इसमें किन्हीं भी दो वस्तुओं के उसी गुण का तुलनात्मक भाव निहित रहता है| जैसे- Vishal is braver than Rohit. Superlative Degree में उस गुण की तीसरी अर्थात् सर्वाधिक Degree बताई जाती है, और उसमें कम से कम तीन या तीन से अधिक वस्तुओं में उसी गुण की highest Degree का भाव निहित रहता है| जैसे- 1. ADJECTIVES

An adjective is a describing word. Words that describe a noun and a pronoun or add something to the meaning of a Noun or a Pronoun are called Adjectives.Examples- He is a clever boy. she is a beautiful girl. The sky is blue . The house is large and airy. Adjectives can be placed before a noun or a pronoun, after a linking verb. Adjectives के निम्नलिखित दस भेद होते हैं- 1 . Proper Adjectives - वे Adjectives होते हैं जो किसी proper noun से बनते हैं| ये हमेशा Capital Letter से लिखे जाते हैं| जैसे- Indian coast, French wine, American culture, English language, Shakespeare's plays. 2 . Descriptive or Qualitative Adjectives-   Adjectives that tell us what kind of a noun it is, are called Adjectives of quality. वे Adjectives होते हैं जो किसी व्यक्ति या वस्तु के रूप रंग, आकार-प्रकार, गुण-दोष आदि का वर्णन करते हैं| जैसे- A great man, a beautiful girl, a small toy, a white cow, cold water 3. Pronoun : Kinds of Pronoun

 1.Personal Pronouns The personal Pronouns are so called because they stand for the three persons- 1. The pronouns which refer to the person or persons speaking are called Pronouns of the first Persons; as, I, we, me, us, mine, ours. 2.The Pronouns which refer to the person or persons spoken to are called Pronouns of the Second person ; as, thou, thee, you, yours. 3.The Pronouns which refer to the person or thing spoken of are called Pronouns of the third person; as, he, she, him, her, hers, they, them, theirs, it.  2.Reflexive and Emphasising Pronouns I blame myself for it. 2.We often talk to ourselves. 3.You will hurt yourself. 4. You will enjoy yourselves , boys. In these above sentences-The pronouns myself, ourselves, yourself, yourselves, himself, herself , themselves, itself, behave like objects to the verbs, but they refer to the same persons as the subjects of the verbs.
