अंग्रेजी भाषा के Letters दो समूहों में विभाजित किये जा सकते है| 1.Vowel (स्वर) 2.Consonants (व्यंजन) Vowel (स्वर): जिन Letters का उच्चारण किसी अन्य अक्षर की सहायता के बिना किया जा सकता है वे Vowel कहलाते हैं| ये पांच होते हैं-a,e,i,o,u. Consonant (व्यंजन) :उपर्युक्त पांच Vowels  को छोड़कर बचे हुए इक्कीस  Letters Consonants कहलाते हैं| इनका उच्चारण Vowels की सहायता के बिना नहीं किया जा सकता| ये हैं-b,c,d,f,g,h,j,k,l,m,n,p,q,r,s,t,v,w,x,y,z. अंग्रेजी में कई Vowels तथा Consonants का अकेले रूप में भिन्न उच्चारण होता है, पर शब्दों के बीच में प्रयुक्त होने पर उनका भिन्न उच्चारण होता है| जैसे G,H,L,M,N,P आदि वर्ण अकेले में जी,एच,एल,एम,एन,पी आदि बोले जाते हैं, परन्तु शब्दों में प्राय: इनका उच्चारण क्रमशः ग, ह, ल, म, न, प आदि होता है| बड़े अक्षरों का प्रयोग  बड़े वर्णों का प्रयोग निम्न स्थानों पर होता है- 1.प्रत्येक वाक्य का प्रथम अक्षर| 2.किसी व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा शब्द का प्रथम अक्षर| 3.अंग्रेजी कविता के प्रत्येक चरण का प्रथम अक्षर| 4.अक्षर जो संक्षिप्त शब्द के लि...

अंग्रेजी व्यंजनों के उच्चारण

अंग्रेजी भाषा में 21 व्यंजन हैं- B  C D F G H J K L M N P Q R S T V W X Y   Z ब  स ड फ ग ह ज क ल म न प क र स ट व व क्स य ज़ सामान्यतः इन वर्णों का उच्चारण वैसा ही होता है जैसा कि इनके नीचे दिए गए हिन्दी वर्णों का होता है| लेकिन जब हम किसी अंग्रेज को बात करते हुए सुनते हैं या फिर किसी टीवी चैनल पर कोई समाचार सुनते हैं तब हमें लगता है कि जो हम बोलते है वे  उससे अलग उच्चारण कर रहे हैं| अक्षरों का क्रम बदल जाने से उच्चारण में भेद  हिन्दी में जैसा बोला जाता है वैसा ही लिखा जाता है लेकिन अंग्रेजी में इससे विपरीत स्थिति है 'C' का उच्चारण - C के दो उच्चारण हैं-स और क  1. C  के बाद E,I,Y आये तो C  का उच्चारण 'स' होगा| जैसे- Receive,Cinema, Icy, Force, Certificate, Niece, Cyclone... 2.C के बाद A, O, U, K, T आदि कोई वर्ण हो तो प्रायः C का उच्चारण 'क' होता है| जैसे-  Cot, Cat, Cap, Cow, Cattle, Cruel, Custom, Candidate......... 3. कभी-कभी C के बाद IA या EA हों तो 'श' की ध्वनि देते हैं| जैसे  Social, Ocean... Degrees of Adjectives

Study the following sentences- 1. Meena is a clever girl. 2. Pinky is cleverer than Meena. 3. Shreya is the cleverest of the three. We see in the above sentences that Adjectives change in forms (clever, cleverer, cleverest) to show comparison. They are called the three Degrees of Comparison . Adjectives की तीन Degree होती हैं- 1.Positive Degree 2. Comparative Degree 3. Superlative Degree Positive Degree में किसी noun की विशेषता बताई जाती हयाई, उस विशेषता की Degree नहीं होती| जैसे- Vishal is a brave boy. Comparative Degree   में उस विशेषता की दूसरी degree बताई जाती है, और इसमें किन्हीं भी दो वस्तुओं के उसी गुण का तुलनात्मक भाव निहित रहता है| जैसे- Vishal is braver than Rohit. Superlative Degree में उस गुण की तीसरी अर्थात् सर्वाधिक Degree बताई जाती है, और उसमें कम से कम तीन या तीन से अधिक वस्तुओं में उसी गुण की highest Degree का भाव निहित रहता है| जैसे- 1.
