Confusable Words

1. obsolete (out of date)- Such fashion is obsolete.     Absolute (complete)- I have absolute faith in God. 2.Oar (पतवार) -He is a good oarsman.    Ore (कच्चा माल)- Bihar is rich in iron ore. 3. Ordinance (अध्यादेश)- The president issued an ordinance to ban some parties.     Ordnance (तोपखाना)- There is no ordnance in the private sector. 4. Ordinal (number showing order)- He is the second son of his parents. Here 'second' is the ordinal number.     Ordinary (साधारण)- It is an ordinary pen. 5. Peace (शान्ति)- There is no peace anywhere.     Piece (टुकड़ा)- I want a piece of paper. 6. Use of Preposition (Part-2)

Prepositions अधिकांशतः अपने object से पहले प्रयोग की जाती हैं| जैसे- 1. He is in his school. 2.  He is fond of coffee. 3.  He talked to me. 4. The cat sat under the chair. उपर्युक्त वाक्यों में in, of, to, under prepositions हैं जो अपने objects (school, coffee, me, chair) से पहले प्रयोग की गई हैं| एक preposition के दो या दो से अधिक objects हो सकते हैं| जैसे- 1. She is very fond of grapes, apples and oranges. लेकिन निम्नलिखित दशाओं में preposition का प्रयोग object के बाद किया जाता है- (1) . जब Object Relative Pronoun 'that' होता है तो Preposition वाक्य के अंत में प्रयोग की जाती है| जैसे- 1.This is the book that you asked for. 2. That is the car that you travelled by. 3. I know the man that you were talking to.
